The City of Tucson

The Tucson Charter Change Coalition (TC3)

Process

The mayor and each member of the city council appointed two members to the Charter Review Committee, and the city manager appointed one member, for a total of 15 members.

At its first meeting, the Charter Review Committee members voted initially to meet monthly, with the possibility of meeting more frequently if needed. Every meeting will be a public meeting, with a call to the audience on the agenda at each meeting. Additionally, the committee will hold at least one public hearing to present its recommendations and give the public an opportunity to comment on them.

Committee members chose attorney Kasey Nye to be the committee’s chair. Vice-chair is Diana Rhoades, former chief of staff to council member Regina Romero.
